About 2 years ago at a lecture in the New England Aquarium's IMAX theater I started sharing blue marbles with people whenever I gave public talks, as a way to make our ocean conservation message a little more "sticky" and as a way to encourage further conversation and sharing. The basic idea is to give someone a blue marble as a token of gratitude for what they are doing for our planet.

Blue Marble è una famosa fotografia della Terra scattata dall'equipaggio dell'Apollo 17 ed è una delle immagini più distribuite. Dalla distanza di circa 29000 km la Terra appare come una biglia blu.
